A Short Glimpse - Narrating an Indian Woman's Travel Explorations through Poetry in Dessau, Germany

There are so many things we see, moments we experience, and emotions we feel. It is insane. And writing allows me to absorb them better. It is my therapy. And it is fun because people come back to me with their interpretations of what I wrote. The same words speak different things to different people…

One thing I have started noting down is introspections around what I observe when I travel.

Isn’t it when you travel you break free from the idea of a person or a place in your head and let people or the place narrate the story to you?
That when you open up and listen to the stories of the people around you; that little human flame inside of you burns a little brighter

I believe now more than ever we need to listen to these hidden stories of the world around us.

Stories which are Happy and Sad

Stories which silence your lost, tensed mind by taking your breath away and
stories that make your thoughts run wild

Stories that bring out the child in you and the stories which nurture an old soul
Stories that make us ponder over the future that we are collectively generating through our present choices and stories that make us inquisitive of our shared history.

It is through these omnipresent stories that we unknowingly communicate
Because whether one is conscious of these stories or not; there are infinite stories out there right when you are walking on the street or staring out through your window;
as infinite as the stars in the sky

And all of us unknowingly notice the stories that shine the brightest in our hearts
And so often we end up finding ourselves in these stories that we witness around us...
